Our story

It started with one rig and a stubborn refusal to do a half job.

Visionary Sound Productions is a full-service event production company headquartered in Commerce Township, Michigan. We've been at this since 2004. Long enough that many of our clients have been with us for more than a decade, and some have been with us since the beginning.

When you call, text, or email, you'll speak directly with the owner. That's not a marketing line. It's how we've always run things, and it's the reason a wedding mother sends a thank-you about ceiling lights three weeks later, the reason a high school principal renews for the fourth year running.

What we believe

Five things we won't compromise on.

  1. 01

    Free advice is free.

You'll never see a consultation charge.  Whether or not we end up working together, you leave knowing more than you came with.

  2. 02

    Fixed pricing, period.

If we said it's in, it's in.  No day-of upcharges, no "oh, that's extra." The quote you sign is the bill you pay.

  3. 03

    The owner answers.

Your event isn't a ticket number.  Every call, every text, every email goes to a person who can make decisions.

  4. 04

    Corporate-grade gear, every event.

Equipment used in corporate and live production environments, chosen for reliability, consistency, and performance under pressure.

  5. 05

On site, on time, on point.

Our crew is dialed in before guests arrive.  We stay through the last song and cue. The room you imagined is the room we build.

Two decades, abbreviated

A short timeline.

  1. 2004

Aaron founded VSP in Metro Detroit.  First gig: a school dance.

  2. 2008

First PLSN feature. Production scope expands to galas and corporate.

  3. 2014

Ten-year mark. Many of our earliest clients from back then are still with us today.

  4. 2020

Drive-in commencements and outdoor audio keep events alive through the pandemic.

  5. 2024

Twenty-year mark. 25th feature in PLSN.

  6. 2026

Super Bowl 26 weekend in the books.  Twenty-two years and still building.
